A recent survey revealed a heightened public awareness of Indonesian government programs for the 2026 Eid al-Adha season, particularly among the youth, especially Generation Z. Conducted from March 29 to April 4, 2026, the survey included 1,200 respondents, reflecting the significance of this age group in shaping public opinion.
According to researcher Hendro Prastio from the Indicator Institute, Generation Z possesses a high level of knowledge regarding government programs. The survey indicated that over 60% of this demographic is aware of various program details, making them the most informed compared to other age groups.
Key Programs Identified by Respondents
Among the prominent programs recognized by respondents are food assistance packages, which include 10 kilograms of rice and 2 liters of oil, with approximately 59% of participants indicating their awareness of these offerings. Following this, the free transportation program was recognized by 55% of respondents, along with the assurance of stable fuel prices, known to 49% of participants.
Conversely, other programs such as transportation fare reductions and increased Eid bonuses were less known, with awareness levels dropping below 40%. Researchers noted that older age groups were more familiar with programs related to basic needs, such as food assistance.
