The General Authority for Industrial Development has announced the launch of 31 ready-to-operate units in the third phase of the Leather City in Al-Rubiki. This step is part of the government's efforts to support industrial investment and enhance the localization of the leather industry in Egypt.
The offering includes 6 factories with an area of 2000 square meters, 10 factories with an area of 1000 square meters, in addition to 15 small industrial units (production workshops) with an area of 121 square meters, dedicated to producing finished leather products and complementary activities.

The offering also includes 5 service shops with an area of 20 square meters each, to support activities related to the industry within the city, including sales outlets, exhibitions, and restaurants. Nihad Youssef, head of the General Authority for Industrial Development, confirmed that the offered units are equipped with all facilities, meeting the needs of various investor categories, which contributes to deepening local manufacturing and increasing added value.
Youssef explained that the application period for obtaining the terms of reference and submitting applications will open from May 5 to May 25, 2026, through the company's electronic portal. She noted that a package of financing facilitations has been provided, including the possibility of direct installment through the company with a down payment of 25%, along with a grace period of one year before starting repayment.
