Engineer Khaled Hashem, the Minister of Industry, has launched the electronic platform project to automate the environmental verification and certification unit, as well as the specialized compliance units at the General Authority for Export and Import Control, in the presence of several ministers, heads of relevant authorities, and representatives from the business community and exporters.
The minister emphasized that the goal of this initiative is to increase non-oil Egyptian exports to reach 99 billion dollars by the year 2030. The ministry aims to achieve this target by deepening local manufacturing and increasing added value, in addition to expanding in supporting and intermediate industries, which contributes to achieving a positive trade balance and reducing reliance on imports.
