A 43-year-old man has lost his life and four others sustained injuries in a horrific collision between two vehicles near Miri Hospital. The incident took place at a traffic signal intersection in Jalan Miri Paybas early this morning, where the driver of an SUV lost control of his vehicle.
According to statements from the Miri District Police Chief, ACP Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah, the accident occurred when the driver of the SUV, believed to be in his mid-twenties, lost control of the vehicle while heading from Permyjaya towards Taman Tunku, causing him to veer into oncoming traffic.

Mohd Farhan added that another vehicle, driven by a 39-year-old man with three passengers, collided with the SUV after it was unable to avoid the crash.
