In a radical transformation revealing Iran's new military approach, the commander of the "Khatam al-Anbiya" central headquarters in the Iranian armed forces, General Ali Abdollahi, announced the shift of the Iranian armed forces from a defensive doctrine to an offensive strategy. This change comes amid continued regional escalation and fast-paced events in the area.
Abdollahi stated, "The doctrine of the armed forces in defending the Islamic Iranian entity has shifted from defense to offense." This statement reflects Iran's determination to confront regional security threats. He added that "the change in military doctrine has accompanied alterations in battlefield tactics to align with the new strategy."
In this context, Abdollahi noted that Iran will utilize advanced weapons to counter the "enemy's calculations," indicating Tehran's intent to develop its military capabilities to meet current challenges.
Spokesperson for the "Khatam al-Anbiya" headquarters, Ibrahim Zolfaghari, indicated that a new military escalation serves as a reaction to ongoing operations against Iran, announcing the downing of a fighter jet belonging to its enemies, in addition to targeting key military sites, including Israeli and American administrative sites.
According to Zolfaghari, Iranian air defenses successfully targeted and destroyed the hostile fighter jet, with the operation executed in the capital, Tehran, after it was detected by Iranian air forces. This operation is part of a series of interception missions aimed at protecting Iranian airspace.
Zolfaghari also clarified that Iranian naval operations, which fall under the 72nd wave of "Truthful Promise 4" operations, targeted sensitive centers including fuel depots for the fleets of Israeli and American fighter jets. He confirmed that these bases, such as "Muwaffaq" and "Ali Al-Salem," were used as launch points for assaults on Iranian islands.
He further mentioned the execution of the 73rd wave of operations, which covered areas in southern and northern occupied Palestinian territories, where missile systems and drones were used to strike Israeli military bases and security centers.
Reports detailed that sites such as "Arad, Dimona, Eilat, Beer Sheva, and Kiryat Gat" were targeted, noting that these strikes followed the collapse of the Israeli air defense system. This was supported by the Israeli army, which is under significant pressure due to deteriorating security conditions.
The Israeli Interior Minister expressed increasing concern regarding the attacks, affirming that the government faces difficulties in maintaining security stability in areas near nuclear facilities. Zolfaghari stated that the aim of these assaults is the comprehensive targeting of sensitive facilities associated with the United States and Israel in the region.
