In a bold move, the Malaysian Ministry of Domestic Trade and Living in Kedah successfully thwarted an attempt to illegally transport diesel in an open area of a Chinese cemetery in Sungai Petani. The operation took place yesterday, where officials discovered the transfer of diesel from a cargo truck to a tanker truck.
According to Zalina Aziz, head of the enforcement department in Kedah, the operation was the result of two weeks of intelligence work by ministry officers. During the raid conducted at 2 PM, two men in their forties and fifties were arrested while transferring diesel from a truck equipped with a large tank to a tanker.
