Dr. Marwan Mansour, the director of Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Hospital in Yemen's temporary capital, Aden, announced remarkable advancements in the hospital's performance, which has become a lifeline for the healthcare sector in Yemen.
In a special interview, he confirmed that with the support and supervision of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, the hospital has successfully provided a comprehensive and entirely free treatment system. This has effectively contributed to localizing complex surgeries and reducing the need for patients to travel abroad for treatment, as the hospital receives patients from all Yemeni provinces without exception.
Event Details
Dr. Mansour explained that the hospital consists of two main structures: the general hospital and an advanced heart center. The general hospital includes 14 specialized clinics covering all medical needs, supported by 6 major operating rooms, and recovery and intensive care units with a capacity of 10 beds. Additionally, there is an emergency department that operates around the clock with a capacity of 10 beds.
He noted that the hospital is equipped with the latest global technological devices, including magnetic resonance imaging machines, ultrasound devices, and a cardiac CT scanner, which is the only one of its kind in Yemen.
