French prosecutor seeks 18-year prison sentence for Tariq Ramadan

On Tuesday, the French prosecutor requested an 18-year prison sentence for Islamic thinker Tariq Ramadan after his conviction for the rape of three women. The trial is being held in absentia and addresses events alleged to have occurred between 2009 and 2016.
