The Indonesian government has announced a legal amendment permitting girls under the age of eighteen to perform the Hajj pilgrimage. This change opens the door for 15-year-old Latifa Syafvina to fulfill her dream of performing Hajj with her mother, after her trip was postponed in 2023 due to previous laws.
