German Finance Minister urges oil companies to pass tax cuts to consumers
German Finance Minister <strong>Christian Lindner</strong> has called on oil companies to pass the benefits of fuel tax reductions to consumers as part of the government's efforts to alleviate the impact of rising energy costs. The tax cut, effective from <strong>May 1</strong>, reduces taxes on diesel and gasoline by approximately <strong>0.17 euros</strong> per liter.
