Chinese automaker BYD has announced a significant price increase of 21% for its DiPilot 300 driving assistance system, raising the cost from 9,900 yuan to 12,000 yuan. This decision is attributed to a sharp rise in global storage device costs.
Robert Sumwalt, the chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), stated that systems allowing drivers to take their hands off the wheel do not improve road safety. His remarks came during a press conference in Washington, highlighting concerns over increased accident rates linked to these technologies.
