Five Palestinians were killed and several others injured on Sunday, as a result of ongoing Israeli airstrikes targeting various areas in the Gaza Strip.
Four of the victims were killed in an airstrike that targeted a police vehicle in Nuseirat Camp in the center of the Strip, with the Al-Awda Hospital confirming the arrival of the deceased along with eight injured individuals.
The Gaza Interior Ministry revealed that the attack took place during their security mission, causing panic and anxiety in the area.
Meanwhile, another Palestinian was killed in an airstrike that targeted a gathering of civilians in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in northern Gaza City.
Medical sources reported that the victims were transferred to Al-Shifa Hospital in the west of the city, where eyewitnesses reported Israeli drone strikes targeting a gathering of civilians.
These events come at a time when the residents of the Gaza Strip are facing harsh conditions, especially following an unprecedented military escalation since 2023.
