This initiative is part of the efforts to improve the transport infrastructure in Najran, as these projects are integral to government strategies aimed at developing the road network and enhancing connectivity between different areas. Engineer Al-Athshan pointed out that the project consists of five main parts, each contributing to the improvement and development of existing roads.
Details of the Project
The project is divided into five main parts. The first part involves upgrading the road extending from Najran to Al-Asha in Dhahran Al-Janub, with a length of 83 kilometers. The second part focuses on constructing a new road in Dhahran Al-Janub, measuring 17 kilometers. Meanwhile, the third part aims to enhance the existing road from the Dhahran Al-Janub exit to Al-Farsha, which spans 33 kilometers.
The fourth part of the project includes improving the existing road between Al-Farsha and Al-Rith, covering a distance of 50 kilometers. Finally, the fifth part encompasses the construction of a new road linking Al-Haqou to the Asir Jazan road, measuring 7 kilometers. These improvements are designed to facilitate transport movements and reduce travel time between regions.
Background & Context
Najran is considered a strategic region in the Kingdom, located in the southwest and characterized by its geographical and cultural diversity.
