European Court condemns Russia for detaining historian Yuri Dmitriev

The European Court of Human Rights has condemned Russia for the detention of historian Yuri Dmitriev, a specialist in Stalinist crimes. Dmitriev, aged 70, is considered one of the country's longest-serving political prisoners, currently held in a prison in Mordovia.
