Indonesia announces need to continue cattle imports to boost local production
The Indonesian Beef Producers Association has confirmed that importing cattle remains essential to address the national meat supply deficit. This comes amid forecasts of increased meat demand reaching <strong>785,000 tons</strong> by <strong>2026</strong>, while local production covers only <strong>15%</strong> of this need.
