The National Crafts Council in Gianyar, Bali, has launched a competition for traditional fashion design aimed at enhancing creativity and competition among local designers. The event will showcase the works of 14 fashion designers and 10 jewelry designers at the Cultural Festival on April 12.
Novita Hardini, a member of the Indonesian Parliament's Industry Committee, stated that the imposition of double value-added tax on the film industry hinders its growth. She emphasized the need for tax policy reforms to support local creativity.
Indonesia is set to host HoYo FEST 2026, a significant event aimed at boosting the role of local creators in the creative economy. Scheduled from July 30 to August 2 in Jakarta, the festival combines education and creativity.
