The following day, approximately 2,000 customers faced issues due to a "software error" resulting from a pre-planned upgrade in the IT system.

In response to these outages, the company made some adjustments to the network on March 18 to improve performance, which led to a temporary increase in network traffic. Singtel's CEO, Ng Tian Chong, confirmed that these incidents were unrelated.
