The Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Department has announced the launch of a mobile driving license renewal service, which will be available at five different locations in the Indonesian capital starting Saturday. This service aims to facilitate the process of renewing driving licenses for citizens, allowing them to renew their licenses without the need to visit traditional traffic offices.
The service will operate from 8 AM to 2 PM and will be available at the following locations: Grand Cakung Mall in East Jakarta, the main lobby of LTC Glodok Shopping Center in North Jakarta, the parking lot of Trilogi University in South Jakarta, the southern lobby of Ciputra Mall in West Jakarta, and the post office parking lot in Central Jakarta.
Event Details
The process of renewing a driving license requires bringing some essential documents, such as a national identity card, the original driving license, and photocopies of these documents. Applicants must also fill out an application form and undergo a health test at the mobile service location. It is important to note that the service is limited to renewing class A and C driving licenses that are still valid. In the case of an expired license, the owner must apply for a new license at the traffic office in Daan Mogot, West Jakarta.
The renewal fees range from 80,000 Indonesian Rupiah for class A driving licenses to 75,000 Indonesian Rupiah for class C licenses, according to Government Regulation No. 60 of 2016 regarding non-tax government revenues.
