Engineer Randa El Manshawi, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, announced the completion of the main drinking water pipeline connection with a diameter of 1400 mm in the Zahraa El Maadi area. The minister confirmed that the gradual resumption of water supply to affected citizens has begun, emphasizing the importance of continuous monitoring to ensure efficient service delivery to all areas. She explained that the project aims to strengthen the main networks and reduce malfunctions and interruptions, which contributes to improving the quality of drinking water services, especially in areas like Nasr City and the Third Settlement.

The minister monitored the stages of project implementation on-site, observing the closure of valves, line draining, and cutting and installation operations. The old line was decommissioned, and the necessary technical equipment was installed to ensure the network's readiness for high-efficiency operation. She stressed the importance of the operational system, which includes refilling the line with water and eliminating air, ensuring pressure stability and service regularity.
The minister also inspected the Zahraa El Maadi pump station, which is a key facility for water transport in Cairo, with an operational capacity of approximately 600,000 cubic meters per day, supplying areas such as Nasr City, Mokattam, Zahraa El Maadi, and the Third Settlement. She noted that the executed work reflects integration among various entities and efficiency in planning and execution.
