A horrific collision occurred on the Duta–Ulu Kelang Expressway (DUKE) in Kuala Lumpur yesterday, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to three others. The accident happened after a truck broke down in the middle of the road, leading to a series of collisions between several vehicles.
The incident, which took place at kilometer 10.4 between the Air Panas toll station and Ampang, began when a truck stopped in the middle lane. According to statements from Assistant Commissioner of Police Muhammad Zamzuri Muhammad Isa, a small truck traveling behind the broken-down truck was unable to control its vehicle and collided with it.

After the initial collision, another truck stopped to assist the broken-down vehicle, but a third truck coming from behind lost control and crashed into the stopped vehicles. The victims, a local truck driver and a Bangladeshi man driving the small truck, died at the scene.
Zamzuri reported that the two victims were outside their vehicles at the time of the accident and suffered severe head and body injuries. Meanwhile, three other injured individuals, including two men aged 43 and 35, and a 38-year-old foreign man, were transported to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for treatment.
