Malaysian police apprehended an Indonesian citizen in Cebu, where he was found in possession of a significant amount of drugs valued at 164,695 ringgit, during a security operation conducted over the weekend.
The Chief of Cebu Police, ACP Azari Miscon, stated that the suspect, aged 25, was arrested around 11:30 PM along Jalan Padawan, where authorities discovered 272.02 grams of a substance suspected to be Ecstasy and 2.78 grams of Ketamine.

Following his arrest, the suspect led police to a house in Lorong Kiu Nang, where additional quantities of drugs were seized, including 1,089.79 grams of Ketamine, 4,509.65 grams of a powder suspected to be Ecstasy, as well as 278.51 grams of Erimin 5 (890 tablets) and 140 milliliters of a liquid believed to be Ecstasy.
The suspect has been detained for seven days to assist in investigations, which are being conducted under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, which prescribes the death penalty or life imprisonment upon conviction.
